Law Degree from the School of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University of Lisbon, in 1982.

Since 1980, she collaborates with J. E. Dias Costa, Lda., rendering legal advice in the field of Industrial Property.

In 1995, she became an Industrial Property Agent.

Since 1996, she acts as Official Representative before the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs), in Alicante, Spain and as European Patent Attorney before the European Patent Office, in Munich, Germany.

Between 2003 and 2005, she was member of the Legislation Committee of the Portuguese Bar Association - Intellectual Property Section.

Since 2002 she is an Associate at SMCA, where she develops her practise in the areas of Intellectual Property and Information Technology, Criminal Law, Company Law, Litigation and Arbitration.
